Hi all, I hope it's okay to post this here.
I'm a student at Curtin University and I'm conducting research on online and offline friendships for my psychology honours degree. As my research is online-focussed, I've been looking for online communities to promote it in. If you:
* are aged between 18 and 25 years;
* have at least one online friendship and one offline friendship; and
* have about 20 minutes to spare;
I'd really appreciate it if you completed my survey. Afterwards you'll have the opportunity to enter in the draw to win a US$50 Amazon.com gift voucher.
I've had an excellent response to the survey, and have now received enough responses. Thanks to everyone who participated!
(cross-posted to a few other communities)

Car for sale
Not-Bob, my old car is for sale.
It's a 1995 Daewoo 1.5i in dark green ("Canterbury Green" apparently). Manual.
Asking for around $2000, negotiable.
Has been well maintained, but also well driven. Would be a perfect first car or wheels for a poor student.

Hey guys, anyone able to recommend a good doctor?
I'd prefer someone in the city, or between the city and Galleria.
How do I define good?
Someone who will listen, has some experience in complex or auto immune health issues, and doesn't automatically assume I'm pregnant just because I'm female and presenting with nausea.
Don't care if they are male or female, or bulk billing or whatever... Just want a good one :)

Looking for something cheap and cheerful! but not pedestrian - like a cute asian restaurant or really anything!
But nothing appears to be open and nice on a Monday night - please help!

Interstate pet transport.
Hello hello :)
I'm currently living in Toowoomba QLD, moved here from Perth almost a year ago. Except I had to leave my cat behind with my mother, with the intention that she was to stay there. Now she is going batshit crazy and attacking my mother, so now we want to send her over here.
My question is, anyone know of any reputable pet transport companies that do interstate? Sure I can go on Google and look some up, but I'd like some recommendations if possible. I don't want to go with one that turns out to be dodgy and I never see my cat again :(
Thanks! Current Mood: busy

Second hand cars
What are some good places (especially online) to look for used cars in Perth?
In particular I'm after a post 2003 model Daihatsu Terios.

Looking for a GP
Hi all. I moved to Perth a few months ago, and I'm looking for a good GP. I'm basically after someone who takes a proactive approach to health care, rather than just being reactive and shoving me out the door ASAP.
I live in Maylands, but I'm willing to travel for someone good. Likewise, I'm happy to pay a bit extra and deal with waiting lists if need be. A female doctor would be nice, but not obligatory.
Anybody got any advice/recommendations? Current Mood: hopeful

Perth Supanova 2009
Anyone here attending?
For anyone not in the know, Supanova's a pop culture expo that encompasses the fandoms of Comics, Anime, Manga, Games, and Sci-Fi/Fantasy movies and books.
This is it's second year in perth, and it's at the showgrounds July 3-5
Supanova.com.au for more info
I myself am very exited. Supanova has a different feel to the anime convention Waicon, and last years' was very fun. I'm sewing a cosplay for it now (left it a little late, hah!)

Save some dosh on advertising with CJB
My current employer isn't being a nice man and doing the right thing by me, so I am in need of bringing in some extra money from home until the D-rama's of the world get sorted. Here is your opportunity to save money on Graphic and Web design and get things done as professionally as you would through a major business.
Feel free to contact me at any time either by phone or email. 0433 581 115 or email@example.com - after hours and weekends are also fine.
I can do small print jobs under 500pcs priced per page, or larger jobs over 500pcs through my printer. So if you are in need of a job, big or small, then give me a buzz and we can talk.
Have a fantabulous day.

Has anyone seen those yellow plastic signs around that says 'we buy houses!' or 'lease your house!' or 'make $5,000 a week!' and the sort? It's typically yellow with black writing with a mobile number on it.
Does anybody have any idea what they're about? I've seen them mostly SOR, mostly on Albany Hwy, but I've spotted a few coming closer to the city. IDK about NOR, I don't go up that way much.
I'm not looking to sell my house or make $5,000/wk (hellooo scam!) but they're really starting to bug me.

Seeking local Aussie designers to dress our models for the Estreya Accessories shoot.
Do you know anyone who might be interested? This would be an especially great opportunity for a fashion student to showcase some of their designs. Your clothing will appear on the Estreya website with full credit to you as the designer, plus you'll receive a VIP invitation to the exclusive launch event to be held at the awesome Luxe Bar in Mt Lawley later in the year, where you can hobnob with the bigwigs - an excellent networking opportunity!
WA / Perth-based preferred, but Australia-wide designers considered so long as the logistics of us using the clothing can be worked out.
If anyone knows ANYONE who might be interested in this, please pass this on and get them to lob me an e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
