Bushwalking around the South-West?
Allo perthnuts, I'm back! I made a post a couple of months back asking for advice on Margaret River food, and got some great responses.

We now have our dates booked for the first week and a half of May, and I'm starting to look at more stuff to do over there. I'm intrigued by the old-growth forests around the South-West, and I was wondering if anyone can recommend some good resources for bushwalking in WA? We won't be spending much time in Perth, but any walks within 1.5-2hrs of Margaret River would be lovely to know about. Google hasn't been terribly helpful - are there any books I can buy on walks around the South-West? Is there a version of the EPA/Parks and Wildlife that can offer advice/information on walks?

Also, if there are any new restaurants or new favourites around there [and we will be day-tripping to both Perth and Freo], please drop a line here! Would love to find a few more places to grow a food-baby ^_^
Thanks all!

Recommend a Women's Doctor and a Dentist?
Hi All,

I'm relocating to Perth in a  few weeks from Melbourne. I need to locate a good doctor and dentist. I'm going to be living in South Lake, which is apparently only twenty minutes out of the city. So I city based is cool. Freo's only a short drive away as well.

With the doctor I'd prefer a female doctor but NEED someone familiar with PCOS and IBS. Can anyone recommend someone?

As for the dentist there aren't really any special requirements. Just a regular dentist, preferably a nice one, but as long as they know what they're doing it's all good. I've been going to the same dentist for 5 years so... *Shrugs*

Thanks in advance ^_^

Business class return flight from Australia to New Zealand

I have miles with THAI AIRWAYS which can be redeemed to a business class return flight from Australia to New Zealand with Air New Zealand.

The dates are not set, however it is hard to get a flight in peak season (school holidays etc...).

If you are interested e-mail me the dates and departure and arrival ports, I will get in touch with THAI AIRWAYS and find if the seats are avaliable.

I would like to sell it for $2500 however all reasonable offers are welcome.

Small Restaurants?
Hello hello!

My boyfriend & I decided we wanted to go to a winebar yesterday for some wine & nibbles, so after looking up ones in Freo (as we knew we'd also likely be around there yesterday) we ended up at Cinnabar Winebar on Essex St.  Which ended up being an awesome idea!  The wine list was quite large, and they had a selection of about 8 tapas to choose from, which isn't that many but the ones we had were delicious!  The thing we also enjoyed was the fact that the restaurant seemed to be run by a man & his wife & their daughter - we do love being able to support the small businesses like this one.  We sat on the balcony upstairs, we chatted to the family a bit (& found out they also run wine tasting nights, awesome!)  It was a great experience :)

So my question to you all, is what other small restaurants would you recommend?  Any small family-run places?  We do live SOR, but would be willing to travel a bit for some great food at a great place! :)

Hi I'm wondering if anyone knows of a store in W.A that sells blank matroyshka/babushka dolls? I know of 2 online sites, one of which is based in W.A but I'd like to know if there's a shop I can go to that sells them.

Delicious recommendations!
Hey Perthlings! My partner and I are Brisneylanders heading west for our honeymoon in April/May next year, and I come looking for delicious suggestions... I know this is a Perth community, but I'm hoping that you guys can offer some advice on awesome restaurants/cafes around the Margaret River region.
As we're broke 98% of the time, we'll be splurging on the sorts of things that we can't afford in Brisbane - I'm talking expensive bottles of wine, 3-course dinners, things made with truffles etc. Where can I find The Good Shit around Margaret River? Where would you take someone for a romantical dinner? If you were given an extra week's pay in your next paycheck, which restaurant would you spend it at? What/where is your favourite gourmet deli [for chocolates, olives, condiments of awesome etc]. Is there such a thing as 'the best breakfast in Margaret River'? If so, where can I find it? Also, if there are any winery/brewery tours that include foodie action, I'd be interested in that too... we love our booze almost as much as our food!

Thanks all, eagerly awaiting your advice! ^_^

I am wanting to buy a legitimate version of Adobe Photoshop 7.  Must have original disc and registration numbers. Not too fussed if there isn't a box, but a box would be nice.

Have tried ebay already. They only elements etc.

Tried Amazon and found a copy, but they don't post internationally and it's overseas.

Thought I would give LJ a whirl.

Name a price and we can go from there.

Cheers =)

The glass in my wood heater just smashed for no apparent reason. I have been googling but cannot find any company in the Perth area dealing with glass replacement for wood stoves. Anyone out there know of any company who offers this service?

Dentist recommendations in Perth area?
Hello, you gorgeous people. I have a favour to ask of your august assembly.

(but seriously - you fine people rock)

I'm looking for a dentist for a regular checkup - just a clean and scale. But not being a Perth local I can't tell the barbarians from the awesome dentists.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a dentist in Perth that they trust and love? Not terribly fussed about location - will travel for the right dentist, although getting out to around Joondalup is probably the outer fringe I'd consider.

Thanks muchly in advance!

Hi everyone.

Anyone know anyone who fits the following criteria? University student aged 18-21 who lives away from home with no financial assistance from their parents, but doesn't get youth allowance because their parents earn too much for them to qualify and so they're living on mi goreng or something?

I'm a journalism student at Curtin and I need a case study for my feature. They'd need to be able to go on record with their story and have their photo taken sometime before Sunday.

Hi all, I hope it's okay to post this here.

I'm a student at Curtin University and I'm conducting research on online and offline friendships for my psychology honours degree. As my research is online-focussed, I've been looking for online communities to promote it in. If you:

* are aged between 18 and 25 years;
* have at least one online friendship and one offline friendship; and
* have about 20 minutes to spare;

I'd really appreciate it if you completed my survey. Afterwards you'll have the opportunity to enter in the draw to win a US$50 Amazon.com gift voucher.

I've had an excellent response to the survey, and have now received enough responses. Thanks to everyone who participated!
